Slow Cooked Chili

Home Style Slow Cooked Chili


Ingredients:
  • 2 -3 pounds of ground chuck (or extra lean ground beef)
  • 2 cans (16 oz.) red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cans tomatoes, drained
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2-3 table spoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon. black pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin, Paprika, Celery seeds?
  • Salt to taste (optional)
Directions:
First brown ground chuck in non-stick pan and drain fat. Then place in crockpot.
Place all other ingredients into slow cooker.
Cook for 10-12 hours on low.

Crock-Pot Potato Soup

Crockpot Potato Soup


Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 large potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt                                    
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk


Directions


  1. Place bacon and onion in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until bacon is evenly brown and onions are soft. Drain off excess grease.
  2. Transfer the bacon and onion to a slow cooker, and stir in chicken broth, water, potatoes, salt, dill weed, and white pepper. Cover, and cook on Low 6 to 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and half-and-half. Stir into the soup along with the evaporated milk. Cover, and cook another 30 minutes before serving.

3-Ingredient Orange Chicken Sauce Recipe

Orange Chicken Sauce Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • 1 Cup Sweet Orange Marmalade (Smucker’s)
  • 2 TBSP Soy Sauce
Crispy Chicken Ingredients:
  • 3-4 Chicken Breasts (We used 3)
  • 1 Cup Flour/1 Cup Cornstarch (You can use both or either/or)
  • 2 Eggs
  • Oil (We used vegetable oil)
Cooking Directions:
  1. In a sauce pan, add the BBQ sauce, marmalade, and soy sauce. Turn the heat on low and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring a few times.
  2. Meanwhile, cut up your chicken breasts into cubes. In one bowl beat 2 eggs, while the other bowl should mix the dry ingredients.
  3. Dip pieces of chicken in the egg and then cover in flour/cornstarch. Set on an extra plate.
  4. Add a thin layer of oil to a frying pan and turn your stove on medium/high heat. Once it sizzles, add the chicken to the pan. Let it cook for 3-5 minutes each side until it’s brown and cooked on the inside.
  5. Set the oily pieces on a paper towel and let drain.
  6. Add the chicken to the sauce and toss!

Matan's Port Chops Creation

Ingredients:Boneless Pork Chops
Pam
Flour
Spices
Frozen Onions
Garlic Powder
BBQ Sauce
anything else Matan feels like adding
Process:1) Spray a large skillet with Pam (do not heat yet)2) Rinse Pork Chops set aside.
3) In a glass plate - put 1/2 cup of flour together with spices
4) In a bawl whisk 3 eggs
5) Preheat the skillet (with PAM) over medium high heat (#6). 
6)  Use TONGS - Dip the Pork in Egg, and then in Flour (make sure it is all over), and then put in Skillet.
7) Cook first side for 3 minutes (or until the bottom is getting brown), then flip for another 2 min
8) Remove from skillet to a plate.
9) Reduce the heat to 5.  Add frozen onions.  Spray over with PAM, keep steering for at least 3 min.
10)   Add BBQ sauce, spices, and anything else you want to create your sauce.

Garlic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops


Serves 4

Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 18 mins


Ingredients:
4 6oz Boneless Pork Chops 
2/3 cup of Chicken Stock
1 Clove of Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp of Salt Free Steak Seasoning
2 Tbsp of Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Light Olive oil or Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Process, 1) Add the oil in a large skillet and preheat it over medium high heat. 

2) Season both sides of the pork chops with the steak seasoning, salt and pepper. Sear them for about 3 minutes on each side. Discard any oil left behind in the pan.

3) In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken stock, garlic and brown sugar, add it to the pan, reduce the heat to medium low, bring to a boil, add the seared chops back in and cook the for about 5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
4) Sprinkle some parsley over the top and serve!
